Who makes DriveIQ and Vipera?
Both apps are made by BlankCanvas Software, the independent Android app studio of Om Israni in Adeje, Tenerife, Spain. Om designs, builds and publishes them on Google Play under the developer name BlankCanvas Software, and this website is the studio’s home.
Is DriveIQ an official DGT app?
No. DriveIQ is an independent study tool for Spain’s DGT Category B theory exam and is not affiliated with the Dirección General de Tráfico. Its exam simulations follow the official format: 30 questions in 30 minutes, with at most 3 mistakes allowed to pass.
Does Vipera upload my files?
No. Vipera sends only a file’s SHA-256 hash to its server, which checks it against MalwareBazaar, YARAify and ThreatFox; the file itself never leaves your phone. Hashes are kept with an anonymous ID for up to 90 days, and you can delete them in the app’s Settings.
Is Vipera free?
Yes. Vipera is free to download and quick scans are free, with ads in the free version. Premium, a subscription managed in Google Play, adds full and deep scans, automatic scheduled scans, three extra threat engines and a higher daily lookup limit.
How can I test new apps before launch?
Email softwareblankcanvas@gmail.com with the Google account you use on Google Play. You’ll be added to the closed test and get an opt-in link to install pre-release builds of upcoming apps such as YEET BOMB.
Where is BlankCanvas Software based?
BlankCanvas Software is based in Adeje, on the island of Tenerife in Spain’s Canary Islands. Its apps are published on Google Play: DriveIQ is built for learners preparing for Spain’s DGT theory exam, and Vipera for Android users who want to check their apps for malware.
